Joseph Marchak, born in Kiev in 1878, began his career as an artisan jeweler. Before long, his work was recognized throughout Russia. He became an official supplier to the Tsar.
In 1920, his son Alexandre opened a boutique on Rue de la Paix in Paris. In 1925, he won a prize at the Arts Déco exhibition. After the Second World War, the brand went international under the management of Alexandre's partner Jacques Verger, and conquered the United States. From the outset, Marchak has stood out for its imposing, brightly-colored jewelry with clean lines set with beautiful colored stones.
French and American customers alike have been won over, and even the King of Morocco, His Highness Hassan II, has called on the house several times for official gifts.
