Delightful pendant signed by the Lyonnaise firm "Amengual Frères" in 18ct yellow gold (750/1000th). Rectangular in shape, it represents the astrological sign of Capricorn, circa 1970. Signed Amengual lower right, French workmanship.
Maison Amengual Frères was one of Lyon's jewelry jewels, established since the 1970s on Bd de la Croix-Rousse in Lyon, but closed its doors in the 2000s. "Lyon loses a family jewel" / François Sapy in Lyon Figaro, August 8, 2001, p.6.
