Paul Emile Brandt, born in Switzerland in 1883, is a "jeweler, painter, sculptor, engraver of medals and gemstones, chaser and enameler". He first exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1906, and in 1921 was listed as a hardstone engraver with Lacloche and Boucheron. In 1930 and 1931, Paul Brandt created pendants, bracelets and rings that combined geometric figures with onyx, jade and brilliants in a modernist design reminiscent of certain Raymond Templier pieces.
