Delightful double-sided medal in 18 ct (750/1000) yellow gold, signed by the engraver Mazzoni. On the front, it depicts Saint-Christophe carrying the Infant Jesus on his shoulders. Using a stick, Saint-Christophe remains faithful to the legend that a giant helped Jesus cross a river. On the reverse, it depicts a car overflown by an airplane, with the text "Look at St. Christophe - and leave reassured". Early French work, circa 1900.
